Cet accident a entra\u00een\u00e9 la mort de sept personnes et fait plus de soixante bless\u00e9s. Il s'est produit lorsque le tramway circulait \u00e0 70 km\/h (43,5 mph) \u00e0 l'approche d'un virage avant l'arr\u00eat Sandilands \u00e0 Croydon. Les enqu\u00eateurs ont indiqu\u00e9 que la vitesse maximale autoris\u00e9e dans cette zone \u00e9tait de 19 km\/h (12 mph).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s un compl\u00e9ment d'enqu\u00eate, le Bureau d'enqu\u00eate sur les accidents ferroviaires (RAIB) a formul\u00e9 15 recommandations en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, notamment concernant le syst\u00e8me de freinage automatique. Parmi ces recommandations figuraient la r\u00e9duction et le contr\u00f4le de la vitesse, la signalisation \u00e0 chaque virage et l'am\u00e9lioration de la proc\u00e9dure de traitement des r\u00e9clamations des usagers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Royaume-Uni va bient\u00f4t b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de son premier service de tramway \u00e0 freinage automatique \u00e0 Londres. Ce syst\u00e8me actionnera automatiquement les freins d\u00e8s que le tramway d\u00e9passera la limitation de vitesse \u00e0 un endroit pr\u00e9cis.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce syst\u00e8me fonctionnera de concert avec le panneau d'avertissement et le syst\u00e8me de contr\u00f4le de vitesse ajout\u00e9s en 2017, utilis\u00e9s pour informer sur le <a href=\"https:\/\/uffizio.com\/fr\/use-case\/improving-passenger-safety-and-comfort-through-driving-behavior\/\">distraction et fatigue du conducteur<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le RAIB a \u00e9galement constat\u00e9 que le conducteur s'\u00e9tait assoupi en raison de sa fatigue. Cela a mis en \u00e9vidence la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de trouver une solution pour l'aider. Le gouvernement a donc install\u00e9 des catadioptres dans le tunnel et peint des chevrons pour faciliter sa conduite. Les catadioptres sont deux sph\u00e8res r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissantes qui marquent le centre de la voie pour attirer l'attention du conducteur. Les chevrons sont des bandes de signalisation de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 peintes en jaune et noir.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ces mesures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, associ\u00e9es \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me de freinage automatique, garantiront la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des passagers dans le tramway. Elles contribueront \u00e0 r\u00e9duire le nombre d'accidents de tramway.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attendons maintenant de voir ces tramways en circulation \u00e0 Londres pour en conna\u00eetre les r\u00e9sultats.
